SHADOW SHOW
I organized this project, exhibition, and created the culminating zine issue!
For this project, artists selected a special piece of text as the conceptual seed to an original piece of work. That text fragment was an artfully redacted museum placard attached to a great work of art housed at a major institution in Manahattan.
While the identity of the original piece, artist, & institution remained a mystery to participants (until they opened this book), the text fragment afforded a vanishing glimpse into the conceptual core of the work. From there, PHAC artists were to construct an original piece, a shadow-linked twin, to display at a one-night-only exhibition at Studio 45 in Brooklyn.
We’ve recreated the galleries of MoMA. Each PHAC piece will appear alongside it’s shadow twin, complete with it’s location in the museum.

This is a custom projector I built to throw up a 30 ft light billboard up on a building across from my apartment.
